Bomjour Mes Amis

Hey you guys,

Well I'm doing good, I know it's been a while since I have written a letter to the whole world!

So this week was okay! nothing to great! I would just like to say I have a huge testimony on prayer! 2 Weeks ago I contacted a girl from Spain, and we talked and chatted for a little bit and then I had to go, so I left her my card, but I should have taken her information as well, and I didn't. I prayed to our Father in Heaven to give me another chance and to put her in my path again. For a week straight I prayed, and one night my companion and i were on the metro coming home, and my comp says 'hey isn't that Spain girl from last week? I turn around and look, and it's her, I go contact her and she tries to bise me and hug me, and it was awkward because I didn't let her, (to bise is to kiss on the cheak like all the latinos do) but I was able to talk to her and see how she was doing and I did things right this time and invited her to learn more about Jesus Christ and she accepted! it was a huge testimony builder to know that God answers prayers! If you have doubts, just get on your knees and pray to God for answers, he is ready to answer you, he just wants you to ask! I love you all and I hope all is well in life for each and every one of you!

Hello Everyone!!

Its time for the new episode of the week! and it is intense! so we fixed to have dinner with Ali and Kikuae last friday and that day was hectic! we had three rendezvous in one day but we were able to do it! i was stoked all day to have a lesson with Ali! so we get there, had some bomb food, and then we started our lesson! so the first thing i asked him was if he prayed, and he said he did, but he didnt recieve an answer, i testified to him that he will get an answer, he just has to continue praying! so then i asked him if he had any questions, and he said 'ya, do you belive that only mormons go to heaven and if your not mormon then you go to hell?' and it shocked me because we planned to teach him the plan of salvation! and it was such a good lesson! i love that he asked questions too! and whats cool is that his wife was kinda helping us as well! but then we ended on the celestial glories and bore our testimonies on that, and i promised him blessings and it flowed so perfect into the baptismal invitation and i took up the courage, not having planned before hand to invite him, and invited him to be baptised when he has received an answer to his prayers....and what do you know, he accepted! and whats even cooler, he is so patient! he told us, i know God willl answer me, i just have to wait and keep praying until he does! it was a miracle! i really feel like the Lord sent me to this ville for a reason and that i have stayed this long for a reason! my companion doesnt know them very well but i do and i love this family! on saturday i get to go watch him play rugby! they invited us to his game! so coool! the pharmacy guy we havnt been able to see, he has been busy but he wants us to come on wednesday! funny story about this guy, we stopped by his house, no one was there, but we see this family that he knows around the corner and so we went to say hi and they were staring down at the road drain, and our investigator comes crawling out of the drain, it was so funny! this 50 year old dude coming out from the ground! apparently he dropped his keys down there! such a good man! i miss you all and i hope that you are all doing great and that you are living your lives with happiness and joy in Christ our savior! i love you all! have a good week!

Hello Everyone

This transfer is awesome! the Lord is definitly on our side and he is blessing us and we are seeing so many tender mercies and miracles! I love this mission! The language is coming along so great! So a little about our Amis(investigators)! This guy who contacted us on the street is super cool and nice and he said that one day he washed his hands before grabbing the book of mormon that we gave him to read, he started reading it and said he felt something strong...That is was from God! We havn't been able to see him for a few days!
So about Ali the tongan guy...he continues to amaze me! we havnt been able to teach him for about two weeks, but then on sunday, his wife called us and told us to come over, and it was a last minute thing so my companion and I had to book it to the bus! We had a bomb dinner with them! Since she told us in short notice, we didnt know what we were going to teach! I was sooo nervous because his last question was 'how is Jospeh Smith a prophet if he had more than one wife and God said not to'! so i was nervous, I didnt know the answer to it but my comp and i tallked about it and came up with a plan to share Matthew 7: 15-20! and so we taugh him! i took up the courage to lead it and the first thing i asked him was if he read and then prayed...he said he always prays..but that he didnt pray about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. But i told him he needed to do that, that that is the only way he ewill find out. but then i told him we have the answer to his question! we read the scripture, testified with all our heart, and then promised him that he will find out if he prays and asks our Heavenly Father. and then he says, Okay i will pray, and you can come back next week and i will tell you how it goes! it was amazing to see that he comitted his ownself to pray! it was a miracle to see this action that he is taking! and then we got ready to leave and he aent to turn the car on so i got a chance to talk to his wife, and since i love this family and im really close to them, i straight up asked her when she was coming back to church, she said that she will one of these days, and im glad she atleast said she was going to come! her husband is amazing! i can see him as a bishop! its awesome! but yeah we are seeing great things! i feel like last transfer, despite how crappy it was, got us prepared for this transfer! im excited! I hope you all are great and that the lord is blessing you as well! pray and the lord will bless you with his love! have a great week!

La Fermex Aux Crocodiles

Hello Everyone,
I hope that everybody had a good new year! :)
I had a good one..I ate lots of Goose liver, its a french specialty! :) It's pretty yummy.
This week was really good. Last saturday we went to a members house to eat, then
we went home by train, got off the train and my companion and I decided to contact on the way home. Its' like a 5 minute walk. We did, I targeted this lady and contacted her and I was quickly rejected, but as I turned around, my companion started contacting this younger girl, and all he asked was "would you like to learn more about Jesus Christ?" and quickly she responded with the answer Yes. she gave us her number and we called it to make sure it was right, and I asked her where she was from and she said Brazil, we introduced ourselves, and then sent her on her way. It was a MIRACLE! Since this last sundat was fast Sunday, I fasted, and one of the things I fasted for was to have spiritual experiences. That night, we were on the bus on our way to dinner at a tongan family's house, and I ended my fast on the bus.
We went, ate dinner...losts of it...and then I asked if we can share a spiritual message, and they agreed. Let me tell you a little bit about this family. Kikuae is a member, less active though, her husband...Ali, this tall, buff, tongan guy isnt a member but is very spiritual, he only believes in the bible. So my companion and I decided to reteach the first lesson. I was determined to have this guy read the book of mormon. We started teaching. I took the lead in the lesson, it was going so great, my companion and I were transitioning so nicely and as we continued to teach more and more..the spirit became stronger and stronger. It came to the point in the lesson where we had to talk about the book of mormon...I began telling him what it was about and then I started bearing my testimony...but then I choked...I was overwhelmed by the spirit... I started tearing up, but I managed to bring some words out and I testified to him that this book is true. I testified to him that he can know for himself. I know he had to have felt the spirit...it was def there. I asked him to read it....but he said no...but I stayed determined...and asked him again..and he said he would. That night was the most spiritual experience yet on my mission. probably the first. it was amazing. and my testimony grew so much more about fast and prayer. My prayers were answered and the lord helped me out with the spiritual experience. I love this work. Even if its hard. I encourage everyone to fast and to pray for spiritual experiences. I miss you all and I love you all. May the lord bless you!
